How to make lemoncello cream for CAKES and DESSERTS

This delicious LEMONCELLO CREAM is very easy and quick to make, it will serve you for crepes, cakes and desserts. If you want a non-alcoholic cream you can substitute the amount indicated in the homemade limoncello liqueur recipe for more natural lemon juice.

  • 1. In a saucepan, pour the lemon juice, limoncello and the zest of 1 lemon until heated (it does not have to boil)
    2. In a bowl we beat the eggs with the sugar
    3. Add the corn starch and mix well with a whisk (there should not be any lumps) and add the lemon juice, mix and put the mixture previously passed through a strainer back into the casserole
    4. We take the casserole to the fire and without stopping stirring we wait for it to thicken
    5. Turn off the heat and mix vigorously with a whisk and add the diced butter and stir until dissolved
    6. We keep our cream in the fridge in a container covered with transparent film in contact with the cream to prevent annoying and unpleasant scabs from forming.
    Before using the cream, we beat with a rod so that it has a creamy texture again.
