How to make authentic ITALIAN TIRAMISU

Instructions
 

  • 1. We will start by separating the yolks from the egg whites.
    2. Whip the egg whites to stiff peaks and store in the fridge.
    3. Add the sugar together with the yolks and beat until they have a foamy texture.
    4. Add the mascarpone cheese and mix well.
    5. Add the egg whites and mix gently with a rod or spatula.
    6. Place the savoiardo biscuits on a tray with the sugar side down and moisten with cold coffee.
    7. Add half of the cream.
    8. We place more savoiardi wet with coffee or marsala liqueur.
    9. We cover with the cream.
    10. We cover with transparent film and reserve for at least 6 hours in the fridge.
    11. Before serving, sprinkle with cocoa or chocolate chips.

Notes

Ideally, make tiramisu the day before consuming it.
A variant of the classic tray is to make individual tiramisu cups
If there are children instead of coffee you can wet the biscuits with milk
For the version with alcohol, the recommended liquor is dry sweet wine - marsala
